Precious awards were sold off by mistake
The «Goldfinger» vocalist Dame Shirley Bassey mistakenly allowed the three of her precious awards to be sold at the auction earlier in June. The flamboyant Welsh singer auctioned the entire contents of her luxury London apartment after moving to Monaco. Ironically, she organized the sales herself and took a load of stuff out of the flat personally, but must have overlooked that items.
Three treasures sold off at the London Rosebery’s auction were a presentation vase, silver salver and a silver heart awarded to Dame Shirley Bassey by the Variety Club of Great Britain. The auctioneers from Rosebery’s were unaware of the significance of the items. The singer is surely very upset as she was thrilled when she received the awards.
