Presentation of the third edition of bilingual reference book «DAR. Russian Art» took place on March 14. Collectors, art dealers, artists, art critics and connoisseurs of art in Russia and abroad welcomed and highly appreciated appearance of such a comprehensive edition at the art market. Year by year, since the first publication, the team of authors continues updating and completing important data concerning biographies of prominent artists. The current edition also contains up-to-the-minute information about major sales of Russian artworks worldwide. The reference book is published under the auspices of auction house Sotheby’s.

«DAR. Russian Art» proves to be extremely helpful when analyzing the situation at the contemporary art and antiquarian market. As in earlier editions, the third one of features names and surnames of artists listed in alphabetical order. The new design of the reference book has been performed by renowned book illustrator Andrei Bondarenko.

The initiators of the project «DAR. Russian Art» Nicolo Savoretti and Martha Boeri are planning to issue the reference book annually, completing it with information gathered by independent experts. The editorial board is headed by Andrei Sarabianov. The book’s section dedicated to Russian avant-garde artists was edited by Sarabianov as well. The section devoted to art of 1920s–1930s and Russian emigrant art was edited by Andrei Tolstoi. The section of 1930s–1960s art as well as photo art section was compiled by Elena Rudenko. Antonio Dgeusa was responsible for the section dedicated to Russian video artists, while Anna Matveeva and Julia Gnirenko gathered information concerning St. Petersburg-based and regional artists respectively. Anna Romanova edited the section of contemporary Russian artists.
