In autumn the auction and exhibition season is in its height. The notable events of the national cultural life included a specialized display of militaria “Archaika–2007” held in Moscow in early September. “Antiq.Info” magazine was the main media sponsor of the project. According to organizers of “Archaika–2007”, it was a great success with the visitors, and once again demonstrated potential of the Russian art and antiquarian market.
Among other important events that will take place in the Russian capital is a Christie’s pre-sale display at the Pashkov house (October 18–20). The showcase features masterpieces that will be auctioned this fall in London, New York and Hong Kong. The total value of the artworks that will be displayed in Moscow is estimated at $300,000,000. Notably, the exhibition is organized under the auspices of GasPromBank and the Russian State Library.
