Dear readers!
First spring month was marked with numerous significant events at a world art market. Among them is European TEFAF art exhibition-fair which was held in Maastricht in Holland through March 7–16. A lot of new price records on works either of Old Masters or contemporary one were made at it.
For the majority of Russian antiquarians March became a period of preparations for the XXIV Russian Antiquarian Salon which is opened on April 12 in Central House of Artists. More than 200 galleries from the largest cities of Russia and other countries will take part in the exhibition. For twenty years of its existence Salon became one of the main events of the Russian antiquarian market.
This April will also be marked with important for native art market «Russian sales» of greatest Christie’s and Sotheby’s auction houses.
On April 12, opening of unique Vadim Zadorojniy Museum of Technique will be the greatest event in Russian cultural life. This museum will be one of first private museum complexes dedicated to Russian and world history of technique artifacts including outstanding collection of old cars, aviation and military equipment.
