XIX Russian Antique Fair

XIX Russian Antique Fair will be launched on Saturday, October 22. The Fair was established nine years ago and now it is considered to be the major professional event at the national antiquarian market. Best art galleries, art stores and prominent Russian collectors will take masterpieces from their collections to the Fair which will take place at the Central House of Artists at Krymskiy Val Street in Moscow. Every year more than 40,000 visitors – experts, critics, collectors, museum associates and art lovers – come to see subject exhibitions, covering latest tendencies at the art and antiques market, seminars and presentations, feel luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere of the Fair. It has become a must to visit a Russian Antique Fair for those who pretend to live the high life in Moscow.
Organizers of the event are proud that rarities from antiques collections of participants of the Fair enrich collections of the leading Russian museums. The aim of the Fair is not only to hold selling exhibitions, but to attract public attention to the national cultural heritage as well. The XIX Russian Antique Fair will feature a special showcase project «Rococo. Ways of development in Russia».
Guests of the event will be able to view exceptional artworks from museum funds of the oldest Russian museums: the State History Museum (Moscow), the State Museum-reserve «Oranienbaum» (St. Petersburg), the State Museum-reserve «Tsarskoje Selo». Many of art pieces at the Fair are displayed to the wide public for the first time. The Fair will run through October 30.
