Fashion Berlin photographs of 1930s
The Russian National Library in St. Petersburg presents a show ╚Fashion Berlin photos of 1930s╩, which will finish its work on November 11. The exhibition includes various materials from the collection of the Costume Library (Lippenheidische Kostuembibliothek) √ a branch of the Arts Library in Berlin (Kunstbibliothek). In 2001 the show visited the Netherlands and Germany.
╚Berlin photos of 1930s╩ features about sixty stylish pictures made by ten most fashionable and sought-after Berlin-based artists. Those photo works clearly reveal general art trends and tendencies in fashion-photo of that time √ from traditional classic compositions at the Becker and Maas studio to experimental photographs by Imre von Santo.
