Rodchenko: Modern Photomontage & Film Opens

The Neuberger Museum of Arts presents today "Alexander Rodchenko: Modern Photography, Photomontage and Film," on view through July 20, 2003. Through his innovative efforts and experimentation in the early 20th century, Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) helped establish a new visual language of modern art through photographic expression and new artistic forms for a modern culture. The exhibition includes Rodchenko▓s portraits of his contemporaries during the unparalleled years of the Russian avant-garde, his wife Varvara Stepanova, critic Osip Brik, and many others who significantly shaped the history of Modernism.
