Dear readers!
First summer month is over. June was marked with the last in this season Russian sales held at leading world auctions. Again works by Ivan Aivazovsky compete with Konstantin Korovin's canvases. Natalia Goncharova's pictures are bought for the record sums. Results of Sotheby’s auction sales held on June 12, surprised pleasantly. The Star of Order of St. Andrew the Apostle which probably decorated the dress of Empress Maria Feodorovna was sold for £2 729 250. The market of masterpieces of Russian art continues to develop. Experts believe that Russian sales are one of the most perspective movements in practice of world auction sales.
In the end of June the third female rally on classical cars took place in the centre of Moscow. Participants of rally drove across Moscow on retro cars quick as the wind. The Konstantinovsky Welfare Fund purchased the collection of Russian art of Lobanov-Rostovskies which totals over 1000 sheets of graphic art by 140 artists of the late XIX – the early XX centuries. The purchased collection is supposed to be placed in the congress hall of Konstantinovsky Palace.
We wish our readers to have a nice rest and be ready for a new business season.
