Antiq.Info #60/61 (January/February 2008)

Dear readers!

The antiquarian market has got into gear quickly after long Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The sales of first-rate auction houses demonstrated a high purchase requirement for works of art of the 20th century. Trendsetters of price policy are Sotheby’s and Christie’s again. Their auction collections consist of works of the most famous European artists. In the nearest future the main buyers are supposed to be clients from Russia, Asia and the Middle East. They are ready to invest in works of art.
Museums and show-rooms have been holding the exhibitions actively since the beginning of this year. For art-lovers and connoisseurs of art there is much information concerning new expositions and interesting projects in this magazine issue.
Keeping to traditions of the previous years we prepared material dedicated to Defender of the Motherland Day. In this magazine issue you will find articles about the breach of Leningrad blockade and Sestroretsk armourers and also news from arms auction sales.

On February «Antiq.Info» is five. You are holding in your hands the jubilee magazine issue where there are pages dedicated to this event. «Antiq.Info» was and is your constant guide into the fascinating and prosperous world of antiques.
